"The Balancing Act" LAB 2010- This year Pasadena Playhouse declared bankruptcy and the Lab was forced to move its space and traditional dates. Directors Lab West 2010 was held from Saturday, September 4 through Saturday, September 11, 2010, at the Los Angeles Theatre Center. The theme for 2010 was "The Balancing Act". The text for this session was "Measure for Measure". Notable Actors, Directors, Designers and Choreographers participated in these sessions and shared their experiences. Guests of the 2010 Lab included: Velina Hasu Houston, Andrew Barnicle, Jose Luis Valenzuela, O-Lan Jones, Vincent Paterson, Brian Kite, Michael John Garcés, Alan Menken and Glen Slater. The SDC Open Session was a conversation with Alan Menken and Glenn Slater on A Leap of Faith.
