"The Global Effect: Worldwide Influences from Global to Local” LAB 2014 FIFTEETNTH ANNIVERSARY - Directors Lab West 2014 was held from Saturday, May 17 through Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Pasadena Playhouse, A Noise Within and the Boston Court Performing Arts Complex. The theme for 2014 was "The Global Effect: Worldwide Influences from Global to Local". The text for this session was "Roshomon". Notable Actors, Directors, Designers and Choreographers participated in these sessions and shared their experiences. Guests of the 2014 Lab included: Jessica Kubzansky, Seema Sueko, Andrew Borba, Moisés Kaufman, Greg Watanabe, Chil Kong, Michael John Garcés, Marin Hinkle, and Sheldon Epps.The week culminated with an SDC OPEN DAY of sessions featuring a panel on “Approriate Appropriation” and a session with Vincent Paterson and another with Louis Fantasia, two of our more illustrious alumni.
